Soho Building

After designing two out of the four triplex penthouse residences at 22 Mercer, the building board president asked us to redesign the buildings' lobby and floor hallways, in order to transform what was a cold and bleak design into a timeless Soho entrance, which would also increase the value of each of the condo owners units. We did this by gut renovating the entire lobby to increase the space by several inches on all sides, relocating the mailboxes, creating an entry foyer, designing multi use furniture for boxes and dry cleaning deliveries, stone floor patterns with a series of cased openings to soften the depth of the long corridor as well as to conceal mechanical ducting, speakers and security features. Fusing natural soft, textured and hard materials to create an arrival or departure experience of a private downtown luxurious residence.
